Architecture watercolor rendering of Corinthian order

TYLER MILAM

Architecture was not the obvious choice for me as I entered school. I began college as an Interior Design and History dual degree in an attempt to blend my love for history and creativity. The Interior design and Architecture program at Andrews University was focused around traditional design and using design to create a better world. This in particular, is what sparked wonder and my love for design.

My time at the University of Notre Dame reinforced and built upon my understanding of traditional architecture and put me in contact with some of the most intelligent, influential and inspiring people in the field of classical architecture and urban design. In turn they broaden my understanding of what the responsibilities, and roles are that designers have in shaping the world.

The creation of spaces that enhance life, preserve nature, and respect the sense of place through design drives my pursuit of leaving places in better condition than they were before.

Tidelands Design Maquette is founded with the purpose of making beauty, delight, and sustainability accessible to everyone. Let us create together.

OUR VISION

Everyone deserves to live in a well designed place, from a single home, to an entire community. Through comprehensive and innovative design approaches, this will be a reality. By offering custom home design, pre-designed plan sets, and master planning, we provide a variety of solutions for every scale.

The prosperity of the future relies on building on the knowledge from the past. Tidelands Design Maquette is dedicated to the facilitation and promotion of mixed-use, traditional neighborhoods in the tradition of New Urbanism. Patterns and techniques of historic architecture and town planning are the key to creating a more enduring tomorrow.
